Denise Maki is a Registered Kinesiologist licensed with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario and she has over 25 years of experience in the field of rehabilitation. Prior to opening Kinnect to Wellness in 2011, she held positions in ability management, exercise prescription and intervention, pain management and functional assessment.
Rehabilitation and Exercise Therapy Experience:
- Automobile accident related injury management with extensive knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits
- Sport or work related accident injury management and recovery
- Management of:
- Neurological diseases such as MS or Parkinson’s
- Bone or joint disorders such as arthritis or osteoporosis
- Cancer recovery
- General physical decline or deconditioning
- Pilates reformer training
Certifications:
- Stott Pilates Trained (pilates reformer)
Bonefit certified (osteoporosis management) - Level 1 and 2 certification - FMS (Functional Movement Systems)

Denise is passionate about solving movement based musculoskeletal imbalances and designing exercise programs to restore function. She is committed to the concept of “Exercise as Medicine” for rehabilitation and wellness programming.
